"Utah!? Do they speak English there?"

Hey y'all!

I'm a little short on time today, but I still wanted to make sure I wrote y'all!
This week has been really good! We taught a lesson almost everyday so
that was really exciting!!! Right now we are working with several less
actives who are working towards coming back to church which is really
exciting!!

One of these is a woman who's husband and kids are not members and
she hasn't been to church in a long time. Her family members are in
the neighboring Ward, so if she does go to church, she goes with them.
She had us over for lunch this week which was really awesome!!

We finally were able to get in contact and have a lesson with a family
that was baptized in August. After the missionaries that baptized them
left they have been very off and on in their church attendance and
we've had a really hard time getting in contact with them, but we were
finally able to have a lesson with them! It was a really great lesson
and they seemed a lot more excited about church afterwards!!!

Funny story from Saturday. We were on our way to help a family that
is packing for moving and we turned a corner, but the block was in a
different spot then we expected so we hit the curb, completely dented
the tire rim, and blew our tire. Luckily we were right by our
apartment so Sister Harvey was able to drive slowly back to our
parking lot and we called the Elders to come help us fix the tire! The
funny part is we were listening to a song from Prince of Egypt called
"deliver us" while all of this was happening haha!!

Another funny story from this week is we were talking with this little
girl and she asked us where we were from. When we told her Utah she
said, "Utah!? Do they speak English there?" We got a pretty good kick
out of that haha!

Sunday we had a broadcasted regional conference. So everyone in the
southeastern states in the US was watching the same broadcast! It was
really good!

One of the talks was by Sister Reeves of the General Relief Society
Presidency and she was talking about the story of the prodigal son
from the Bible. And how there was the younger son who went away from
home and was lost. But also how the older son was lost because he was
jealous that the younger son had a joyful return. She related it to
how each of us are lost in our own way. We each have weakness and
challenges we struggle with, but by returning to our Heavenly Father
and doing our best to follow Him that we will be helped with all that
we are going through!

So yeah it was a great week and I hope that y'all are doing well! Know
I love each of you and am keeping y'all in my prayers!

Love always,
Sister Amy Bennett :)
